Hi.

I'm Roland, lucky human being and #everydaygreenie.

I like to go on adventures, learn new things, take photos with my camera and make stuff with my hands.
I get excited a lot.

Mainly I'm excited because I'm on a journey, to prove that sustainable living is not only important, but really achievable.

🗣GREENING OUT #16 Dear Patagonia

[recorded at Berry Island, WOLLSTONECRAFT]

I would like to reiterate that this podcast isn't an attack on Patagonia and I do not intend for it to be defamatory in any way. I'm just trying to get to the bottom of a few things!

Needing a wetsuit sucks, not just because we are inferior animals in the aquatic world, but because oil-based neoprene has an incredibly harmful manufacturing process attached to it. Many wetsuit producers are investigating 'green alternatives', be it plant rubber, recycled polyester, limestone and what have you.

Considering myself more or less dependent on time spent in the sea, I agonise over this stuff a lot.

Recently I have had an interesting time trying to establish a dialogue with Patagonia about a few things to do with their mightily-priced Yulex wetsuits, 2 of which have sorely disagreed with me. This episode contains the deets of said experience, which as yet remains open-ended.

iTunes or link in bio. Have wicked weekends! Go surfing! 🤙
